Job title: Dispute Resolution Lawyer
Work type: Full-time, permanent
Experience: 5-7 years PQE
Salary: Competitive salary and benefits package
Loxley is a specialist law firm for rural property and the agricultural sector. We are recognised as the experts in our field. Our clients include traditional landed estates, farming businesses, landlords and tenants, institutional landowners and private clients.
The firm’s market-leading practice covers dispute resolution, farm and country house sales/purchases, agricultural tenancies, farming partnerships, succession planning, wills and probate, and rural planning and development.
From our office in rural Gloucestershire, on the edge of the Cotswolds but within easy commuting distance of Bristol, we act for clients throughout England and Wales.
We seek a talented solicitor to join our litigation team. You will have a strong civil litigation background, specialising in property disputes. Knowledge of agricultural and residential tenancies or contentious trusts/probate is an advantage, but not essential. You will be used to working as part of a team, but with the ability to think and work independently, to manage your own files and to develop your relationships with clients.
An understanding of civil procedure will be taken as a given. Your most important skill will be your aptitude as a lawyer. Alongside a wide range of real property issues, often complex, you will be working on specialist and sometimes novel areas of law, where authorities may be few and far between, at all levels of the civil justice system. You will frequently work closely with barristers and other professionals who are nationally recognised experts.
Our clients come from a wide range of backgrounds. All of them want advice that is clear and cogent, which is tailored to their individual circumstances, which shows an understanding of their business interests, and which is commercially sound. ADR is an important part of our practice. We are as proud of our cases that settle as we are of those which get reported.
At Loxley, you will have the opportunity to advance your career and professional reputation, working in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will be part of our litigation team, made up of eight lawyers, but you will work with colleagues across the firm’s professional disciplines.
We are committed to finding the right person for this role and are open to discussing flexible working patterns. For further details or a confidential conversation, please contact Dawn Goodman on 01453 771341 or email email@example.com.
