Doug Scott

Doug advises on a broad spectrum of contentious and non-contentious property matters, including agricultural, residential and commercial tenancies, real property issues, trespass and possession claims, and telecommunications. 

He has particular experience and expertise in advising landowners and tenants on succession issues under the Agricultural Holdings Act 1986, on residential tenancies and occupational arrangements in both England and Wales, including the housing of farm workers, adverse possession claims, and the Electronic Communications Code.

In addition, Doug is experienced in advising on disputes and issues arising around the renewal or termination of commercial tenancies protected by the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954.

Doug studied War Studies at King’s College, London before converting to law. He trained at Burges Salmon, qualifying into their property disputes team in 2010. Doug joined Loxley in 2016.

He is a member of the Property Litigation Association and the Agricultural Law Association.
